About The Position

As an Associate Manager, Category Management at Cacique Foods, your key responsibility will be to analyze sales data to generate valuable insights to signal data driven decisions for the Sales & Marketing teams. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a keen analytical skillset coupled with a thought leadership mindset to identify and articulate product category consumption and distribution patterns to promptly and accurately model current and future trends for the business. Effective and thorough communication skills are imperative in conveying results, insights, and recommendations to both sales and marketing teams. In this dynamic role as an Associate Manager, Category Management, you will play a pivotal part in shaping or accelerating the growth and market position of the company and its products within the Hispanic perishable food category.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preference: Business, Mathematics or Economics)
  • 5-7 years of experience leveraging data insights to drive category management strategies and decisions
  • Circana experience required
  • Experience with ITI, Nielsen, 84.51, Power BI, and Apollo Space Planning strongly preferred
  • Background in the grocery sector required, with a deep understanding of category trends, assortment optimization, and shopper behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the application of various techniques to organize, extract valuable insights, interpret, and present data and analytics, enabling the Sales & Marketing teams to drive informed decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze sales and shipment trends
  • Identify category and competitive insights within Hispanic CPG landscape
  • Collaborate with other team members to proactively elevate data insights and anticipation of short- and longer-term product category strategies
  • Develops compelling, fact-based presentations utilizing data resources to support customer and marketing initiatives
  • Communicates and develops action plans to deliver against Business Intelligence
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to identify data discrepancies and troubleshooting data sources and systems as part of a data validation process
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with all levels of the organization, including Executives, Department Directors and Managers.
