About The Position
The Associate Manager - Category Line Review Insights plays a crucial role in providing market, competitive, and customer behavior analytics to influence the annual strategy for category management at Walgreens. This position is integral to the Category Line Review process, where the Associate Manager collaborates closely with category buyers and cross-functional teams to leverage robust data-driven insights. The role involves translating complex data into compelling narratives that guide category strategy and assortment decisions, focusing on Walgreens' performance against competitors. The insights generated will utilize syndicated data, customer behavior patterns, store clustering strategies, and item assortment decisions across all departments within the store. In this position, the Associate Manager will lead a team, ensuring that daily activities are aligned with strategic objectives and that project goals are met in a timely manner. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance on complex issues. The Associate Manager will also play a key role in establishing communication policies, providing constructive feedback, and fostering employee morale. Presenting deliverables and conducting post-analyses for key internal clients and executive management will be essential, as will leading client meetings to understand business needs and objectives. The Associate Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering training and support for new processes within their area of expertise. They will make tactical recommendations to stakeholders based on historical data and current trends, ensuring that all analyses and recommendations align with the overall strategy of the organization.
