At the Sioux Falls Village, our vision is to lovingly provide quality, dependable care at just the right time. You can help us accomplish this! We offer multiple services from general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and memory care unit at the facility. This position is responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed under supervision in a safe, professional manner. Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically keep tools out of the reach of children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in all types of building maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required depending on location.
• May be required to take CPR/BLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks under supervision.
• Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas.
• Keep tools out of the reach of children.
• Possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges.
• Explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code.
• Maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties.
• Perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.
• May require on-call duties as needed or as directed by the department.
