Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Assistant Maintenance Manager position at Phoebe Allentown, a large Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Allentown, PA. This position manages hourly associates and helps leadership plan, administer and direct all activities, ensuring compliance with the standards established by Aramark and the client. Focuses on meeting and exceeding operating goals, client objectives and customer needs, and delivering the services Aramark is contracted to provide. The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services; Plant Operations & Maintenance including MEP, HVAC and Boiler house and day to day general maintenance.

  • Manages and prioritizes maintenance work orders for MEP, HVAC, boilers and chillers.
  • Ensures effective execution of all department strategies/initiatives in order to help meet company & client needs with high standards of excellence, urgency & predictability.
  • Demonstrates a relentless commitment to safety excellence and fosters a culture where every team member is empowered to achieve a work environment without exposures and incidents.
  • Creates a great employee work environment and inspires teamwork and partnership at all levels.
  • Acts as a visible servant leader, leading from the heart to serve, encourage, support and lift others up.
  • Assists with managing labor costs, supply costs and inventories.
  • Maintains and uses capital equipment efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.
  • Supports the effective implementation of the comprehensive Safety Plan and helps with driving full compliance of all safety rules, guidelines and protocols.
  • May conduct operational audits and help ensure a high level of execution and compliance.
  • Drives operational efficiencies and labor/scheduling productivity.
  • Supports compliance with Aramark Facilities Services and regulatory agency standards and programs.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and business relationships.
  • Requires at least 2 years experience in a Lead, Supervisory or Management role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • HVAC and Mechanical and Electrical experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, including Fire & Life Safety, Environment of Care as it pertains to Joint Commission and the Physical Environment.
  • Healthcare experience highly preferred; ideally within a CCRC or skilled nursing facility (long term care).
  • Will be expected to become a member of the local professional association and may obtain a CHFM certification.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date.
