About The Position

The Macro Strategy team delivers thought leadership, actionable insights, macroeconomic trends, and cross-asset themes for Global Markets clients across the Americas (US, Canada, LatAm). We are seeking an experienced Associate with analytical skills and a background in economics and finance to support the Head of Macro Strategy to develop forward-looking views and trade ideas. This role offers hands-on global macro to market experience and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact strategy content within a dynamic and growing Global Markets sales and trading teams.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in research or a strategy role
• Strong analytical quant skills and technical writing skills
• Able to present well and communicate analysis clearly
• Apply statistical techniques on financial data
• A degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics and/or Data Science

Nice To Haves

• Exposure and experience in LatAm local markets a plus
• Knowledge of broad Fixed Income and FX markets a plus
• Experience with Bloomberg, Power BI and Tableau a plus

Responsibilities

• Support head of macro strategy with ad-hoc requests and excel charting needs
• Maintain the monthly macro and markets related PowerPoint presentations
• Identify and evaluate strategy opportunities in the Global Macro space
• Help develop market forecasts and co-author written strategy reports
• Develop relationships with sales and trading to promote strategy content
• Design tools, tables and charts to manipulate and analyze derived metrics
• Assist in client request for the Americas sales platform
• Accomplish ad-hoc and intra-day manager requests
• Multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver on large multi-functional analytical projects
