About The Position

The Associate Librarian for User Experience at Texas Tech University is a full-time, tenure-track position responsible for enhancing the library's user experience and assessment efforts. This role involves coordinating activities that improve both online and physical library environments, collaborating with various user groups, and implementing programs to assess library services in alignment with the university's strategic plan. The position also requires engagement in scholarly activities and participation in professional organizations.

Requirements

• Masters of Library Science from an ALA accredited library school.
• Three years of professional experience in an Academic Library.
• Experience in library assessment and/or user experience projects in academic libraries.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX/Assessment activities impacting library spaces, services, and online presence.
• Apply usability/assessment methods, focus groups, surveys, and analytics to collect data on library services and user experience.
• Identify library stakeholder groups and gather data on their use of library services, resources, and spaces.
• Report findings to library administration to inform user-centered, data-driven decisions.
• Supervise UX/Assessment staff and collaborate with various Library Teams.
• Utilize stakeholder input to develop and implement innovative projects and services through the TTU Libraries websites and digital repositories.
• Stay updated on trends in library assessment, usability methods, and user-centered design.
