About the position

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Commercial Flight Simulation Team is seeking a motivated self-starting Associate Level Training Device Technician to support our team at the Miami Training Campus in Miami, FL. The Training Device Technician will maintain commercial flight simulators and associated training equipment. Responsibilities

  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device.
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.
  • Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components.
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators.
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate faults and repair faulty components.
  • Work under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a STEM field or 3+ years related work experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers, and/or 3+ years in Aircraft Avionics Maintenance.
  • 1+ years' experience in troubleshooting and testing hardware and software.
  • 1+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends.
