About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Associate Level Manufacturing Engineer (Government Training Engineering) to join the Hardware Design, Manufacturing, and Operations (HDMO) team in Oklahoma City, OK. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to the engineering design and manufacturing efforts for multiple programs in support of E-3, E-7, and B-52.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years' experience in an engineering classification.
  • 2+ years’ experience with CATIA, SolidWorks or other 3D Computer aided design tools.
  • 2+ years of experience writing work instructions, work orders
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience with sheet metal, machining processes and composites, as well as knowledge of assembly/installation processes.
  • Previous experience from professional internships.
  • Formal leadership positions held in work, volunteer or extracurricular organizations (ie. manager, club officer, mentor).
  • 1+ years’ experience reading drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Jira.
  • 2+ years of experience using GOLDesp for Kit plans and Default Work Orders
  • 2+ years of experience reading engineering drawings/specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing drawings, models, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure manufacturability of spare parts.
  • Building technical data packages for use by suppliers.
  • Developing and implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Analyzing design and build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigate alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements.
  • Resolving technical problems that would significantly affect performance, cost or schedule.
  • Consult and coordinate with other engineering teams across multiple platforms and disciplines.
  • Drive team performance by working under supervision to support timely delivery of spare parts and proposals.
