About The Position

Associate Laboratory Animal Technician at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR Full-Time/Day Shift - Sunday - Thursday from 7am-3:30pm. The staff works together to ensure provision of excellent care for the animals; as well as compliance with all regulations, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP). Technicians are responsible for the health and welfare of research animals for the Cancer Institute, maintenance of a clean and safe facility, and providing communication and veterinary and technical support to the research staff. Requirements

• Within 2 years of hire: American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) level

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• 6 months of experience working with animals, especially in a research setting.
