Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is searching for an Associate Lab Scientist, focusing on product quality analytical testing, to join our Manufacturing Sciences and Technology team (MSAT). As our MSAT Lab Associate Scientist, you will be responsible for the execution of analytical assays and all affiliated laboratory duties. In this role, you will focus on analytical lab techniques, methodologies and instrument troubleshooting efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or related science degree.
• One year of experience in the biotech industry and hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with at least two of the following techniques: HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, ELISA, qPCR.
• Working experience with MS Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks for execution of simple lab studies/analytical work with supervisory/peer input.
• Executes studies or analytical methods in accordance with study protocols or SOPs.
• Drafts reports with supervisor/ peer review.
• Performs entry level data analysis with the ability to recognize trends and areas where more analysis should be performed.
• Reviews lab documentation and provides recommendations for updates and corrections.
