About The Position

The Associate IT Support Specialist is a generalist role focused on various aspects of computer setup, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, and maintenance. This position may involve interaction with network services and software systems engineering to restore service and resolve core problems. The role can be performed remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid manner, providing flexibility in work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience within IT Support; Windows environment experience preferred.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to manage a ticketing system.
• Ability to interact with end-users in a professional and courteous manner, even in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of end-user technical support.
• Ability to create clear and concise incident and problem documentation in the incident management system.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them within service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Take phone calls and respond to emails regarding technology incidents and requests.
• Meet with Rush employees or contractors to resolve technology issues.
• Document symptoms and conduct troubleshooting tasks in cooperation with end-users.
• Resolve technology incidents and fulfill requests while documenting each step using the company incident/request management process and software.
• Respond positively and professionally to fellow employees contacting the Help Desk.
• Establish and maintain effective working relations with a variety of individuals.
• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
