About The Position

PEG Companies is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Associate to join our team, focusing on new investments and ongoing portfolio management of multifamily assets. The ideal candidate will be proficient in underwriting hotel real estate assets and have experience in market and operational analysis, evaluating financing options, and conducting hold/sell analysis. This role requires the development of complex financial models and the ability to communicate investment theses in memorandums and reports for key stakeholders. The candidate should thrive in a high-paced, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating deep intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, ARGUS) are a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or real estate private equity with a strong focus on financial modeling, market analysis, and asset management of multifamily assets.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and underwriting.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating high-quality investment materials.
• Familiarity with data sources and tools for market research and analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in conducting sensitivity analysis, buy-sell analysis, and other key investment analyses.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently analyze and underwrite acquisition opportunities and asset management tasks.
• Build and operate detailed property-level pro formas in Excel, incorporating market analysis components.
• Utilize subscription and non-subscription sources to collect and analyze data relevant to real estate investments.
• Develop comprehensive Investment Memos, Lender Financing Memos, and External Equity Fundraising Materials using PowerPoint.
• Ensure business plans are proceeding according to plan and perform analysis to make recommendations when changes are required.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and investors.
• Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, mentoring and guiding junior staff.
