About The Position

The Associate, Investment Operations role at Principal Financial Group involves independently performing procedures, analysis, and report preparation to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure. The position is responsible for account reconciliation, reporting, transaction management, portfolio analysis, compliance, and trade support activities. The associate will also participate in global investment initiatives, execute transactions, resolve issues, and interface with various internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Knowledge of financial services and investment terminology required.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliation and reporting to support investment operations.
• Manage transaction processes and portfolio analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and client needs.
• Execute transactions and resolve issues with minimal guidance.
• Establish new securities, compliance rules, and reports for trading readiness.
• Identify and resolve client data issues, trade breaks, and compliance breaches.
• Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with policies.
• Interface with internal and external personnel to provide direction and resolve problems.
• Provide training to Operations Associates and Specialists.
• Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries.
