Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, economics, finance, or business studies from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
  • Proven knowledge of applicable auditing standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and sound independent judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a CIA, CPA, or CISA is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Salvation Army organization, policies, and procedures is preferable.
  • Extensive knowledge of data analysis and ability to generate graphs, charts, and reports is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and control the full audit cycle.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization's risk areas and contribute to the Annual Audit Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
  • Analyze and evaluate necessary accounting documentation, previous reports, and data.
  • Present audit results and document processes clearly and effectively.
  • Act as an independent advisor to ensure validity and legality in operations.
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost-saving strategies.
  • Conduct follow-up and monitor management's interventions post-audit.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Represent Internal Audit on organizational project teams and at management meetings.
