About The Position

The position involves developing and implementing tools, methods, and processes aimed at reducing waste and utilizing data-driven decision-making to promote effective lean problem-solving. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within automation systems. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for enhancing the performance, reliability, and scalability of these systems, monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are achieved or surpassed. The position also includes designing and reengineering workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety in the warehouse, leading and managing projects focused on enhancing warehouse automation and operations, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The candidate will create reports and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance and improvement opportunities and present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Telecommuting may be an option, and the candidate may work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
  • Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in an Associate, Industrial Engineer-related occupation.
  • Experience analyzing automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
  • Conducting time and motion studies to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and boost productivity.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to warehouse operations and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
