About The Position

At Brooklinen, operational excellence starts long before a product reaches our warehouse. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Associate, Inbound Operations to support our First Mile operations — helping ensure inbound shipments move efficiently from origin to destination. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, this role supports day-to-day inbound execution across vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse partners. You’ll help maintain shipment visibility, support reporting, and ensure accurate data across our systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their supply chain career to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growing consumer brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1–2 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or related fields (internships count)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (or Microsoft Office)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets and learning new systems
  • Demonstrated reliability and follow-through
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a structured operations environment

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day inbound shipment processes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Monitor inbound volume and assist with coordination across vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL warehouse partners
  • Maintain accurate in-transit visibility by updating ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Reconcile warehouse receipts and identify discrepancies; escalate issues as needed
  • Flag shipment delays or exceptions to internal stakeholders to support resolution
  • Support weekly in-transit reporting and monthly freight KPI tracking
  • Maintain clean and accurate inbound dashboards and tracking tools
  • Ensure SLAs and operational expectations are documented and monitored
  • Assist with data pulls and updates to support planning and operational alignment
  • Coordinate inbound appointment scheduling with warehouse partners
  • Partner with Planning to support receiving priorities and inbound flow alignment
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external partners to ensure transparency on shipment status
  • Contribute to team initiatives aimed at improving visibility and reducing manual processes
