The Associate Immigration Attorney is responsible for managing a diverse caseload of immigration matters and providing high-quality legal representation to clients. This role involves client interaction, case preparation, and collaboration with legal assistants and other attorneys to ensure timely and effective handling of cases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the U.S. immigration system. Interact with various outside entities, including but not limited to clients, governmental agencies and officials, courts, corporations, and other law firms. Draft complex case matters including affidavits, evidentiary submissions, motions, and appeals. Organize, plan, and schedule cases on priority basis. Handle and follow cases from inception to completion within the stipulated time frame. Review and approve documents and filings with accuracy. Conduct client consultations, assess eligibility, and develop case strategies. Prepare and file petitions, applications, motions, and briefs with USCIS, EOIR, DOL, DOS, and federal courts as applicable. Appear before immigration courts, USCIS interviews, and other relevant proceedings. Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the process. Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure accuracy and completeness of filings. Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies. Manage deadlines, priorities, and case milestones within case management software.
