About The Position

The position involves working in Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health, which is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of products from the point of receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to various internal and external customers. The shift schedule is Monday-Thursday from 1pm-9:30pm and Friday from 12pm-8:30pm (or until tasks are complete).

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly.
  • Able and willing to work in refer 36°F-42°F for up to 10 hours or longer.
  • Able and willing to work in a freezer 5°F for 30-minute increments followed by a 10-minute break.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
  • Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, is a plus.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines.
  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
  • Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.
  • Performs housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment including complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Performs other duties and/or participates in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member.
