About The Position

The Associate II, QC Microbiology is responsible for performing routine activities in the QC microbiology laboratory at our Waltham facility. This role will help support the QC microbiology function at ElevateBio, including but not limited to; laboratory/clean room qualification, improvements to the environmental monitoring program and contamination and control strategies, and execution of routine QC microbiology sampling and assays. Experience with rapid microbiological techniques is a plus.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in a GMP Quality Control microbiology lab setting.
• Ability to communicate and work independently with scientific/technical personnel.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality system processes a plus.
• Experience in cell and gene therapy manufacturing environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental monitoring and safety testing of drug product samples, ensuring that all work is carried out per cGMPs and applicable policies and procedures.
• Perform standard QC microbiological assays, such as sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, and TOC/Conductivity assays.
• Report and review results from other QC Microbiology personnel.
• Perform routine QC Microbiology environmental monitoring sampling.
