Job Summary A Technical Sales Support role involves providing technical assistance to the sales team, troubleshooting customer issues, and ensuring that products meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or a related discipline is typically required.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of related experience in technical sales support or a similar role is often preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the products being sold, along with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying technical information to customers and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Customer Focus: A strong customer service orientation to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and other internal support teams to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Assistance: Provide quoting, technical advice and support to the sales team regarding product specifications, usage, and troubleshooting customer inquiries.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their technical needs and assist them in resolving product-related issues.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation on product specifications, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures to support the sales team and customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales representatives, engineering and other internal support teams to relay customer feedback and ensure that products meet market demands.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions for sales staff on product features and technical aspects to enhance their selling capabilities.
