About The Position

This position will help maintain Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in select buildings on Ft Sam Houston, by inspecting AC units and regularly replacing filters. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a secret security clearance.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
6+ months of related experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or military training.
Customer service skills.
Analyze, evaluate situations, and develop alternatives for conflict resolution.
Basic HVAC maintenance troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.

Responsibilities

Change air conditioning filters according to set schedules.
Segregate filters by location and building numbers.
Inspect AC units and documents findings to manager.
Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop mechanical room ventilation ducts.
Follow all required safety regulations in the performance of duties.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
