The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for supporting the assigned businesses and team members by performing talent-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in all areas of the employment relationship and serves as the business’ liaison to the services provided by the Talent Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a team setting, discretion and professional judgement in addressing confidential matters, and the ability to lead (values, mission and vision) by example.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Communication, or Business
  • Two years Human Resources experience

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business leaders to understand business objectives and talent needs.
  • Support leaders in determining the alignment and organizational structure of teams to best serve the strategic needs of the business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team members’ employment experience and improve retention and engagement metrics.
  • Assist leaders and other TBPs with employee relations, corrective actions, investigations, and terminations as necessary.
  • Participates in the regular performance evaluation and merit review processes.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to leaders when addressing employee development and performance issues within their teams.
  • Initiates regularly-scheduled 1-1 and/or team meetings with Business Leaders to enhance and ensure alignment between the Talent team and the business needs.
  • Attends scheduled meetings with leaders and teams supported by role.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams as needed in support of team members and leaders; particularly work directly with Safety, Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Benefits, and Payroll.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to ensure continual improvements within the Talent Team.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • May facilitate or assist with orientation/onboarding and various training sessions for team member development.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
