Chemours is seeking an Associate HR Manager to join our Human Resources team. This position will be located in New Johnsonville, Tennessee, and report directly to the HR Manager. The Associate HR Manager plays an integral role in the adaptation and administration of human resource policies, plans, and programs. Investigates and responds to personnel issues, either directly or through advice to line management. Assures implementation of human resources policy and adherence to government regulations. Provides technical expertise and promotes ongoing knowledge and skill development of staff. The position is responsible for employee and labor relations at the New Johnsonville site, execution of HR practices and policies at the site, and developing and leveraging functional resources across the other Titanium Dioxide facilities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in HR and labor relations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and creating organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to set priorities and provide direction through direct and influence management.
  • Strong interest and capability in talent development and talent management.
  • Ability to translate broad HR function direction into leadership initiatives in collaboration with peers and line leaders.
  • Skills and experience for effectively interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and solve problems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging work environment
  • Can-do attitude
  • Eager to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Workday and Kronos systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic partnership to New Johnsonville organization in support of overall operational discipline and business performance.
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for hourly employees and front-line leaders.
  • Partnering with line leadership to assess organization capability and ensure development and succession plans are in place to support current and future business requirements.
  • Provide coaching and support to front line leadership regarding workforce planning, culture development, organizational policies & procedures, and communication of key initiatives.
  • Collaborating with line leadership in the effective implementation of people related programs, such as recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of full range of contemporary HR theory and methods including current and future looking Industrial Relations landscape.
  • Anticipating changes that might impact the workplace and having robust plans in place to support the business.
  • Understanding of human resource legal issues and working hand in hand with legal, internal and external on a variety of employment litigation matters.
