As an Associate Hardware Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Analyze, design, and develop conventional analog and digital circuits. Conduct simple to moderate design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness. Contribute hardware specifications in support of system level specifications. Write and analyze test plans, executes tests and evaluates test results for use at peer design reviews and project notebooks. Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, design and test documentation. Provide work estimates to support project planning. Direct the efforts of technicians. SEL invents, designs, and builds digital products and systems that protect power grids around the world.
