About The Position

This position offers a unique opportunity for recent Finance graduates to kickstart their careers through a structured 12-month Graduate Program at Allianz Commercial. The role focuses on supporting the Risk Management and Analytics team, providing hands-on experience in a corporate setting while participating in various projects. The program aims to develop well-rounded technical experts and future leaders in the insurance industry.

Requirements

  • Recently completed university degree in Finance or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Insurance, ideally in Property & Casualty (P&C).
  • Ability to handle qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with risk measurement techniques following Group policies and guidelines.
  • Understanding of risk profiles, including ORM/SOX, Credit risk, Insurance risk, and Financial Risk compliance with Group policies.
  • Eligibility to work in the local hiring office (US or Canada).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship development.
  • Willingness to pursue certifications in financial risk management such as FRM or PRM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel and Power BI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in risk management, finance, or quantitative disciplines through internships or academic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Risk Analysts and Regional Head of Risk Management North America in tasks related to the Allianz Risk Management Framework.
  • Conduct and review business areas of concern, communicating and reporting risk topics to the Head of Risk Management NA.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on top risks, including key risk indicators and mitigation plans for identified deficiencies.
  • Drive a strong governance process and interact with the business on risk steering topics, including deriving mitigation plans and actions.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative risk management, including risk identification, assessment, analysis, and control assessment.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc management reports.
