Under the direct supervision of the Correctional Business Manager I (CBM I), this position functions independently as the direct liaison between the California Men's Colony and the Accounting Services Branches. This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting and budgeting activities of the institution. This position aids in representing the institution in fiscal matters with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation fiscal headquarters and control agencies.

  • Oversee the accounting and budgeting activities of the institution.
  • Act as the direct liaison between the California Men's Colony and the Accounting Services Branches.
  • Represent the institution in fiscal matters with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation fiscal headquarters and control agencies.
  • Possession of Minimum Qualifications as per the Class Specification for Associate Governmental Program Analyst or Staff Services Analyst.
  • BA degree in Accounting, Economic, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or another related field.
  • Experience with research and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems and recommend effective courses of action.
  • Ability to establish and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness, poise, firmness, and integrity.
