Consider joining the Public Rights Division team at the California Department of Justice (DOJ) as the Executive Support Analyst (AGPA) for the Chief Assistant Attorney General, who oversees the legal work of twelve sections. Embrace the engaged, collegial team working to make a difference. This Executive Support Analyst is one of two positions supporting the Chief Assistant Attorney General of the Public Rights Division. Under the direction of the Chief Advisor for the division, the analyst independently performs the more complex, sensitive, and/or varied analytical and technical functions involving the administrative duties for the Chief Assistant Attorney General. This role: Serves as a subject matter expert for the effective handling and coordination of high-profile Executive Office Approval Requests and performs intensive review of documents using attention to detail, as well as knowledge and application of DOJ and division policies and procedures. Independently addresses and responds to inquiries from Executive level staff, Senior Assistant Attorneys General leading the division's legal sections, and others. Develops and maintains working relationships with various levels of staff and management and works under time constraints to address the Division's urgent and changing priorities. This role handles sensitive legal, fiscal, and administrative information with discretion, and may serve as a back-up to other staff in the unit as needed or operationally required.
