About The Position

Duties: Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI), works independently performing the most difficult and complex administrative duties related to program control for the Division of Engineering (DOE). Assignments are general in nature, as the individual is expected to exercise considerable independent judgment in making decisions and taking actions in accordance with the Government Code, State laws and Department policies and procedures. This position is a liaison and works with Program Control offices from other Divisions to coordinate appropriate project and program funding and to collaborate on policies, procedures, and training. This position performs analytical fiscal service duties for the Division of Engineering. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.

Nice To Haves

  • High level experience in research and data analysis, preparing various reports using narratives, tables, and/or charts; preparing materials and delivering training; experience in reasoning logically and creatively; experience meeting deadlines and changing priorities; and experience with data management tools such as Portfolio Project Management/ Resource Management (PPM/RM).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Work in a team environment
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Project Server, SharePoint, SAP and Access.
