About The Position

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), in the County Oversight and Monitoring II Unit of the County Oversight and Monitoring Section, Program Review Branch (PRB), is responsible for collecting, verifying, and analyzing county Medi-Cal call center data to determine the completeness of data submitted and where data trends indicate a county call center's wait time or abandonment rate is increasing, provide the county with training and technical assistance to reduce this trend. The AGPA is also expected to review Medi-Cal cases to determine the accuracy of the administration of the Medi-Cal program. The AGPA must acquire a working knowledge of the Medi-Cal program, and must have the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision; be able to work collaboratively with a variety of staff, located in office and remotely; analyze complex regulations and interpret and apply the regulations appropriately; explain regulations clearly to external stakeholders; have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; have the ability to navigate various Medi-Cal eligibility systems, and the ability to make oral presentations. The nature and extent of the duties of this position necessitates travel to attend meetings and/or conduct provider/staff training and contract oversight. Travel is expected to occur 5% or less of the time. The attached duty statement is the same for all positions in this unit. This is a re-advertisement of JC-495103. Requirements
