About The Position

The Board of Environmental Safety (BES) is a five-member board created by SB 158 (2021), which enacted historic fiscal and regulatory reforms to the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). Our Board Members represent the general public's interest, protect public health, and reduce risks of toxic exposure with a particular focus on disproportionately burdened and vulnerable communities. Under the direction of the Operations and Outreach Manager (Staff Services Manager I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst Administrative Liaison plays a critical role in managing and executing a range of complex analytical and administrative support functions to support the Board operations. As an Associate Governmental Program Analyst you will have the opportunity to: Work closely with the Board Chair, Executive Officer, and Operations Manager with ongoing administrative and operational needs Maintain the working schedule and calendar for the Board Members and Executive Officer Support the Board Clerk by attending Board meetings and special hearings throughout the State Create, recommend, and implement administrative processes for better efficiency and organization Review and screen all incoming mail and prioritize reading materials for the Executive Officer and Board Chair Log, review, and edit documents prepared for the Executive Officer's approval or signature for format, content, grammar and spelling to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification
