About The Position

Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) works independently and in a team with other analytical and specialized staff to focus on the procurement and readiness activities, handling complex analytical projects assisting the Health Program Specialist in the Section with evaluating and scoring the Managed Care Plan (MCP) proposals. Researching, evaluating, analyzing, and reviewing readiness deliverables for selected plans and ensure MCPs provide the increased ongoing services as mandated through AB 3275. Oversee the termination deliverables for any commercial plans not selected to continue as an MCP. The AGPA will continue beyond the readiness phase to support policy changes, secure transfer of information, and verify MCPs selected through the procurement process are providing the benefits and services to their members as described in the contract.
