About The Position

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Contracts, Grants and Loans Office, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst performs the more responsible varied, analytical and complex consultative services in the planning, development, accounting, evaluation, award, fiscal compliance and reporting of contracts, grants and loans programs. Working independently on fiscal and program activities are an integral part of this analyst's responsibilities The California Energy Commission seeks a/an AGPA in the Contracts, Grants and Loans Office. Requirements

  • The MQs for this classification can be found at AGPA Classification. The documents you submit in your application package must highlight how you meet the MQs. If the MQs are not met, you will not be considered for this position.
  • You must be located in California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance.
  • Complete and pass the AGPA exam to be eligible to be hired for available positions.

Nice To Haves

  • The successful applicant should have experience with state contracting including working knowledge of the Public Contract Code, State Administrative Manual, and State Contract Manual.

  • Good problem-solving skills. Addressing potential contract issues or delays and handling modifications.
