About The Position

The Administrative Section within the California Air Resources Board's Research Division (RD) is looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, and organized professional to join our team and provide contract, procurement, and administrative related support. The incumbent should possess strong analytic, administrative, and communication skills and be willing to work in a dynamic environment. The incumbent shall be knowledgeable in the latest administrative technology and workflows and possess skills necessary to automate and streamline processes Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst will serve as a contract and procurement analyst within RD. Working closely with RD management and staff, the successful incumbent will review proposed scopes of work and budgets, initiate contract documents, negotiate contract terms and conditions with potential contractors, and serve as a liaison between the Administrative Services Division (ASD) and RD. The incumbent will provide guidance and advice to RD management and staff on the State's contracting provisions and policies and will suggest viable alternatives and solutions to meet programmatic needs. The incubent will aide staff in fulfilling a variety of specific and complex procurement requests, tracking requests and working with budget and administrative staff to insure timely processing and proper coding.
