About The Position

This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by independently performing the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analysis and coordination for the development of the more complex contracts. The position is responsible for administering the Division's contracts This position provides contract expertise and services by performing the more responsible, varied, and complex analytical work to assist all levels of staff within the Division. This incumbent must have knowledge and ability to interpret various reference sources applicable to contracts including: Public Contract Code, Government Code, Labor Code, Public Resources Code, Business and Professions Code, Code of Regulations, and the State Administrative Manual. The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will interact in a multi-disciplinary team environment and may be asked to work in a lead capacity. The incumbent works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), of the Contracts Management Unit C. This is a 12 month Limited-Term Full-Time position that may be extended or become Permanent. In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees' monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and ability to interpret various reference sources applicable to contracts including: Public Contract Code, Government Code, Labor Code, Public Resources Code, Business and Professions Code, Code of Regulations, and the State Administrative Manual.
  • Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s).
