About The Position

The Associate Global Security Analyst position at Leidos involves managing multiple responsibilities related to crisis management and emergency preparedness. The role focuses on tracking and assessing potential disasters both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS) from the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) at the Reston Global Headquarters. The analyst will utilize intelligence subscriptions and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to evaluate threats and their potential impacts on employees and facilities. The position requires strong communication skills for drafting reports and messaging during crises, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience (2-4 years).
  • Experience in crisis management or emergency preparedness.
  • Full command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and summarize data from various crisis management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of the Everbridge platform and its capabilities.
  • Experience with the Dataminr platform.
  • Familiarity with the National Incident Management System and the National Response Framework.
  • Experience as a liaison to law enforcement and first responders.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Crisis and Emergency Management (CEM) Team workflow and responsibilities.
  • Monitor global threats and disasters, and initiate crisis response as needed.
  • Participate in planning and executing disaster exercises, including active shooter and hurricane response drills.
  • Utilize the CEM team's global threat and asset management platform, including visualization and mass notification tools.
  • Draft and disseminate priority reports for corporate leadership.
  • Coordinate logistics for CEM platform access.
