About The Position
GIC is one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, with over 2,000 employees across 11 locations globally. The Public Equities (EQ) department at GIC focuses on active investment management across global equity markets, emphasizing fundamental research and long-term orientation. The Global Active Equities (GAEQ) team, which manages a developed markets-focused portfolio, is seeking an Associate to join their team in New York. This role is pivotal in supporting senior analysts and portfolio managers in the investment process, which includes conducting in-depth research on companies and industries, building detailed financial models, and preparing investment presentations and memos. The Associate will also work closely with senior team members on potential deals, including pre-IPOs, private funding rounds, and IPOs, while monitoring portfolio companies through quarterly earnings updates and management calls. The position requires a strong academic background and at least two years of work experience in a top-tier investment bank, private equity fund, or consulting firm. The ideal candidate will possess excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a global team are also essential.
