About The Position

We are seeking an Associate to join the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team within the Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) segment of L3Harris. This role is responsible for performing routine, monthly accounting activities, as well as supporting compliance activities from a process improvement, process monitoring and audit support perspective.

Requirements

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
  • Ability to obtain US Secruity Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, monthly accounting tasks (i.e. journal entries or manual project cost adjustments in Oracle) to support timely financial close.
  • Perform gatekeeper review of Non-PO workflow in the Ariba purchasing system. Verify appropriate level of approvers are assigned to transactions in accordance with Policy FIN-01, Delegation of Authority, and that the coding assigned to purchases appears reasonable and as intended.
  • Prepare monthly billing for our division(s) that do not operate in Oracle.
  • Perform monthly journal entry monitoring activities.
  • Provide support for audit requests for external, internal and DCAA audits.
  • Serve as backup to the employee with primary responsibility to support administrative, in-office needs (i.e. - supply orders, file maintenance, opening tickets for conference room or copier maintenance, etc.) as requested by Finance Leadership.
  • Assist on special projects on an as needed basis.
