Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist with a focus on pediatric patients to join our team at Just Kids Dental. As a General Dentist, your primary focus will be on diagnosing and treating oral health issues in children and adolescents who do not require a referral to a pediatric dentist/specialist. Your responsibilities will include performing routine examinations, cleanings, restorative procedures, and preventive care. You will work closely with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality dental services while adhering to our mission and values.

Requirements

  • D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school.
  • State licensure in Louisiana.
  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and their families.
  • A genuine passion for pediatric dentistry and a desire to make a positive impact on young patients' oral health.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat dental issues in pediatric patients, including routine examinations, cleanings, and restorative procedures.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
  • Provide preventive care, educate patients, and their caregivers on proper oral hygiene, and address dental concerns with empathy and patience.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Work closely with the dental team to ensure a safe and hygienic operatory environment.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and adhere to the highest standards of patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to dental staff, fostering a culture of excellence in pediatric dental care.
