About The Position

In-house Associate General Counsel, on-site position Reporting to the General Counsel - The Associate General Counsel provides legal advice and support on a wide range of issues affecting the organization, including corporate governance, contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance. Assists in the preparation, review, and negotiation of documents for complex transactions. This position works closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure the organization’s legal and business interests are protected. · Provide strategic legal counsel to internal business units on day-to-day operations and long-term projects. · Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, NDAs, and service agreements. · Advise on employment-related legal matters, including hiring practices, internal investigations, and compliance with labor laws. · Assist with litigation management, including coordination with outside counsel, case strategy, and discovery. · Collaborate with outside counsel to ensure quality and cost-effective legal services · Support compliance initiatives, including data privacy, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting. · Monitor changes in laws and regulations and provide proactive legal guidance on potential impacts to the business. · Conduct internal training on legal topics such as contract law, ethics, and regulatory compliance. · Represent the organization in legal proceedings, regulatory inquiries, or administrative hearings when necessary.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of legal experience , either in-house counsel or law firm
  • Experience providing legal support in the following areas o Contract law and negotiations o Employment law and HR compliance o Litigation management
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Understanding of entity structure and business operations. (LLC, L.P. and Inc. business units)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
