About The Position

Verkada is hiring an Associate General Counsel – Deputy General Counsel, Employment to lead its global employment legal function. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role serves as the company’s primary employment advisor—partnering with executives and People leaders to build scalable, compliant, and thoughtful workplace practices across a rapidly expanding global workforce. You’ll advise on all facets of employment law, from employee relations and performance management to compensation, benefits, internal investigations, and global compliance. You’ll develop policies and training programs, oversee employment litigation and disputes, and lead a growing team of employment lawyers supporting Verkada’s offices worldwide. This is a rare opportunity to architect the legal infrastructure of a company operating at the intersection of technology, growth, and human capital.

Requirements

• 10+ years of employment law experience.
• At least two years in-house experience within the tech sector.
• Deep expertise in California and U.S. federal employment law.
• Familiarity with international jurisdictions (UK, EU, APAC).
• Proven experience managing global investigations, disputes, and compliance initiatives.
• Pragmatic, strategic, and people-focused approach.
