The Associate General Counsel - Healthcare Law will report to the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, serving as a trusted advisor on healthcare law matters for the organization. This position provides expert guidance on compliance, risk management, and solutions in the realm of healthcare laws and regulations-including Stark and Anti-kickback, provider contracting, medical staff, patient privacy, and hospital and medical group regulation. The role also involves monitoring legislative and regulatory developments in healthcare and advocating for organizational interests as laws and policies evolve. The position is ideal for experienced attorneys who have proven success independently managing complex and confidential legal issues, who can collaborate effectively with a diverse management team, and provide guidance in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a hybrid role. On days when onsite activity is not required, individuals in this role may work remotely. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new employee orientation.
