About The Position

As the Associate General Counsel, Ethics, Compliance and Transactions, you will lead and oversee the company's global compliance efforts in anti-corruption, ethics, and privacy. This role supports the company's international growth objectives by overseeing processes related to contracting and transactions across the company. You will report to the General Counsel and work from the Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent degree and bar affiliation.
  • 8+ years of in-house and/or outside counsel experience in a compliance role within a global organization.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members and model best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience with investigations of sensitive claims.
  • Strong business acumen with the ambition to contribute broadly across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, periodically update, and manage the company's anti-corruption program and ethics program, in line with leading guidance on corporate compliance programs.
  • Design and advise on processes, procedures, and controls needed for operational integration and effectiveness.
  • Lead the global compliance training strategy and develop related materials, including communications, ensuring that the company's employees understand all relevant legal and ethical obligations.
  • Educate senior leaders, including those in gatekeeping roles, on key regulatory risks.
  • Provide expert counsel to business stakeholders on a variety of global compliance issues, including anti-corruption, whistleblowing, ethics, privacy, and general third-party risk management.
  • Lead internal investigations into potential compliance issues, respond to complex regulatory or governmental inquiries, manage hotline reports and caseload, ensure effective implementation of remediation plans, and report progress to company leadership.
  • Oversee the company's global program related to data and employee privacy, ensuring proper policies and procedures are in place.
  • Support the company's international growth by streamlining processes related to all U.S. and international contracts and transactions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
