About The Position

Thesis is pioneering the next generation of Bitcoin DeFi, creating infrastructure and products that power open, decentralized financial systems. The company backs and builds leading protocols and products that bridge traditional finance with blockchain technology. As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to the General Counsel and act as embedded legal support for Thesis’ portfolio companies. You’ll lead commercial, regulatory, and product legal workstreams across DeFi and Web3—drafting and negotiating complex crypto-native agreements, advising on compliance strategy, and structuring decentralized organizations. This is a rare opportunity to help define the evolving legal landscape for blockchain innovation. You’ll own initiatives across DeFi operations, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance—from developing standardized frameworks for protocols and token structures to supporting M&A, risk management, and governance design for DAOs.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in top-tier law firms or in-house legal teams.
• At least 3 years of experience in blockchain, cryptocurrency, or fintech.
• Technical fluency in smart contracts and decentralized systems.
• Deep regulatory insight.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
