About The Position

The Associate General Counsel (Real Estate) is a member of the legal team who reports to the Deputy General Counsel, VP (Real Estate) and supports the company’s real estate activities and operations, such as acquisitions / dispositions, leasing, zoning and land use, real estate finance, tax incentives, and development incentives. This position maintains compliance with relevant contract policies and procedures and provides direct support to the company’s acquisition and development team and business units. What You Will Do: Real Estate Matters: Responsibility for managing and overseeing certain aspects of the company’s real estate activities/development, operations, and transactions. This includes leading the negotiation and drafting of various legal documents and agreements, including those pertaining to real estate purchase/sale agreements, financing, leasing, tax incentives, title review and insurance, zoning and land use, easements and restrictive covenants, and management of multiple deals and deal flow. Role would include working closely with internal development and due diligence teams and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties. Non-Real Estate Matters: Based on the needs of the company, responsibility for various non-real estate legal and general business matters Responsibility for various commercial law matters Assist with a variety of business-related functions and provide sound legal and business judgment on matters including loans, equity raises, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, reporting and compliance, tax abatements litigation, etc. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials. Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
