About The Position

Join Fidelity Labs, our in-house new business incubator, as an Associate Full Stack Engineer for an early-stage SaaS platform targeting the Charitable sector. In this role, you will work within our experienced development team, learning and contributing to the build and scale of a modern SaaS solution while developing your skills in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment. The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners. Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Role Overview: As an Associate Full Stack Engineer, you will contribute to building new application experiences and business capabilities to support a new business initiative. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, learning to make technical decisions and contributing to the delivery of scalable, maintainable solutions under guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (recent graduates welcome).
  • Academic or internship experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (Angular preferred).
  • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Coursework or practical knowledge of application architecture design patterns (MVC, Observer, Factory, etc.) and software engineering principles.
  • Basic understanding of databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS experience a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to seek guidance and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to micro-frontends, Storybook JS, and API management tools through coursework or personal projects.
  • Internship experience or personal projects in startup-like environments, contributing to product development from early stages.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or impressive personal portfolio demonstrating full-stack capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to design and implement modular, reusable front-end components in Angular with guidance from senior team members.
  • Contribute to back-end services using Java Spring Boot, JPA, and AWS, developing skills in scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Learn best practices in modular application design, including micro-frontends, shared libraries, and integration patterns through hands-on experience.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and senior engineering teams to understand how business requirements translate into technical solutions.
  • Participate in modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, learning rapid, reliable delivery methodologies.
  • Actively seek mentorship and learning opportunities, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
