The Department of Economics seeks to hire a tenured Associate or Full Professor in Agricultural Economics. This position is one of six positions in a cluster hire that will have research and teaching responsibilities, along with affiliations with the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD). The approximate division of responsibilities for this position is 25% teaching, 50% research, 20% Outreach and 5% service. The home college for the position is the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The individual in this position is expected to develop or maintain a nationally recognized research and teaching program in Agricultural Economics with emphasis on the following: Agricultural Policy, Agricultural Markets and Agricultural Trade. The successful candidate will be expected to publish regularly in appropriate refereed journals, present at national and international conferences, engage in relevant outreach activities as appropriate, pursue outside funding, advise graduate students in the research areas described above, and have an active research project under the auspices of the Agriculture and Home Economics Experiment Station. The teaching assignment is expected to be two courses per year.
