The Associate, FP&A will support the Financial Planning & Analysis function within Otis’ North Americas Operations Finance department, focusing on New Equipment operations for a high-volume elevator manufacturing factory in Florence, SC. This role contributes to financial planning, forecasting, and cost analysis to enhance factory performance and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, the Senior Associate, FP&A will work closely with factory leadership, engineering, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and support financial planning, reporting and analysis. This position offers exposure to manufacturing processes and cross-functional collaboration, providing a strong foundation for career growth within Otis’ finance and operations departments. On a typical day you will: Assist with the preparation of financial sales and margin forecasts which align with factory objectives and support the development of the Factory P&L. This includes collaborating with business partners from Manufacture Operations and Florence CLC scheduling. Support factory-focused financial reporting by preparing variance analyses and reports on production costs for monthly and quarterly financial close processes, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials (e.g., steel, components), labor, and overhead specific to elevator assembly, to support cost optimization and profitability analysis. Assist in wall-to-wall margin reporting for elevator product lines, analyzing product mix, production volume, and cost factors impacts under the guidance of the Manager, FP&A. Monitor and report key factory performance metrics, such as production throughput (e.g., elevators produced per month), cycle times, and cost per unit, and On Time delivery to provide insights into operational performance. Support the standardization of financial processes across elevator manufacturing operations, assisting in the implementation of best practices for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to improve accuracy and efficiency. Prepare financial reports and presentations, summarizing elevator manufacturing data (e.g., cost structures, production efficiencies) for review by the Manager, FP&A and cross-functional stakeholders. Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects, such as cost-benefit analyses for factory automation, supply chain optimization, or process improvements, under the direction of the Manager, FP&A. Support FP&A team initiatives, working collaboratively to enhance analytical processes and develop expertise in elevator manufacturing finance.
