Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • Up to two years’ experience or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • Experience in Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and theories and the ability to apply such knowledge in practical applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Progress towards CPA and/or MBA.
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Experience using Workday Financials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Create financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making, including explaining material variances and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using enterprise systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist with auditor requests.
  • Lead or assist with ad hoc financial reporting projects and research projects.
  • Stay current with accounting standards, preparing memos and white papers to update management.
  • Conduct trend analyses and research regulations to support financial operations.
