We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience.
  • 1-2 years of financial reporting experience either in public accounting or industry preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (including lookups, INDEX, MATCH, pivot tables).
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building relationships and working within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in business administration or accounting.
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA track.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation and documentation of TMHCC's reporting to its parent company.
  • Compile and analyze financial information for Executive Management.
  • Exercise initiative in explaining variances, unusual items, and key business trends.
  • Utilize industry-leading innovative reporting and analytical tools to automate financial reports and ease report maintenance.
  • Research accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding the Company's accounting policies.
  • Interact with TMHCC’s subsidiaries and corporate departments to gather information for consolidated reporting.
  • Interact with external and internal auditors.
  • Prepare special financial and business-related analyses and research.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the annual budget and interim forecasts.
  • Compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.
