About The Position

HUB International Limited (“HUB”) is the 5th largest global insurance broker, providing a broad array of property, casualty, risk management, life and health, employee benefits, investment and wealth management products and services. We are seeking a Associate Financial Consultant for our Employee Benefits Team.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in brokerage, consulting, insurance, or corporate benefits environment
  • Familiar with employee benefit products: medical, pharmacy dental, vision, disability and life
  • Basic knowledge of health plan rating and underwriting concepts
  • Knowledge of large group insured & self funded markets including captives, reference based pricing, etc
  • Understands Consumer Directed Health Plans
  • Accurate and high attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Current life & health license

Responsibilities

  • Manage data collection process
  • Prepare analytics and reporting of clients for client management team on a regular basis
  • Assist in developing, enhancing and maintaining underwriting methods and techniques
  • Perform data analysis and basic financial analysis
  • Conduct plan performance analysis
  • Develop claims projections for existing clients
  • Assist with financial modeling of plan design alternatives
  • Assist in developing client contribution strategies
  • Assist with carrier negotiations
  • Prepare FRP responses as directed and in conjunction with the sales team
  • Review contract benefits and rates
  • Perform accuracy review of plan information before sending to client
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of client presentations
  • Prepare client documents, including initial results report based on RFP responses
  • Contribute to enhancement of client services/sales, be well informed and maintain a familiarity with industry trends
